What I Write

As a writer I am always trying to explore what lies at the intersection of what is common and what is different, whether that be through other-worldly speculative fiction stories or in non-fiction pieces on otherness and connection.

I work in a variety of genres and formats including science fiction, science fiction romance, memoir, creative non-fiction, flash, and poetry.

Who I Am

I am a MAD writer currently living in Timmins, located in beautiful Northern Ontario, with my cat Belle. During my free time you can find me writing, baking or spending “crafternoons” with friends cross-stitching.

From an early age I struggled with my mental health and was later diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. After many years of remaining silent, I aim to be an advocate for the de-stigmatization of mental health issues through my writing. I am open about my diagnosis and my experiences within the Canadian mental health system, both positive and negative.

Over the past 20 years I have worked in the non-profit field as an administrator and human resources specialist. In 2014 I received my certificate in Non-Profit and Voluntary Sector Management from the Toronto Metropolitan University. Before that, I worked in advertising and as a tour guide through the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
